Pedal Progression at the ‘Ritchey BikeFest 2012’

After racing at a fair few BikeFests ourselves, we are super excited to be on the other side of the fence this year, helping out and making sure it’s an awesome weekend of riding for all involved! Pedal Progression have been named the official coaching partner of the ‘Ritchey BikeFest 2012’ and will be offering everybody fun times, ALL free of charge! Coaching sessions, mini races for mini people, and shouting down mega phones is all on the agenda! Bristol’s BikeFest events are a high point in the South Wests mountain bike event calender. Racers from all over travel to feel their legs burn as they trash themselves around Ashton Courts slick new singletrack. With so many different race categories, it attracts a whole host of riders of varied levels and abilities. The atmosphere is one of fun rather than fierce competition and it’s pretty hard not to have  great time! Here’s what we’ll be doing for you….

For the adults:

Pedal Progression will be running FREE taster sessions across the weekend; three on the Saturday and two on the Sunday. All sessions are on a first come first served basis so arrive early to avoid disappointment. These taster sessions will focus on vision – a key skill area that’s often overlooked, but one that is guaranteed to improve your riding pace!

IF YOU SIGN UP FOR ONE OF PEDAL PROGRESSION’S SATURDAY TASTER SESSIONS, YOU WILL RECEIVE £5 OFF RACE ENTRY TO EITHER 3HR NOVICE RACE ON THE SUNDAY!

On top of this, Pedal Progression are offering 20% off their insightful skills courses to all participants. Get training on free speed, energy management, jumps, drops and a whole range of other techniques that will help you rip up the trails with total confidence. To take advantage of this great offer, you will need to quote your race entry number when booking and get signed up before Friday June 29th 2012.

For the kids:

At 1pm on the Saturday, Pedal Progression will be helping run the annual Kids Race! Get there early to hang out with the coaches and gain some valuable tips before the lights go green!

For Fun:

This year the guys will be providing some entertainment with ‘Hire a Hype Man’! Armed with mega phones, they will deliver your messages personally to your friends, team mates and loved ones as they race! Example “Let’s go Simon!! Jane says if you finish in the top three she WILL marry you!!” Write you’re encouragements down and hand them in at the Pedal Progression gazebo making sure you include the name and race number of the entrant that needs hyping. Hiring a Hype Man is FREE!
