Monet Adams - Pedal Progression

Monet Adams

Monet’s been riding bikes almost as long as she could walk! She grew up racing XC, Downhill and this racing has taken her all over the world. As well as racing at international level shes always been active in trying to get more women into mountain biking and has spent the last few years as an ambassador making films and documentaries about the incredible places and amazing people shes experienced through mountain bikes.

Shes a strong believer that you dont have to go to exotic mountains with all the latest kit to experience the joy of mountain bikes though. Having ridden all kinds of bikes for 20 years she will bring a huge wealth of experience to our team.

Monet has taken her foot off the pedal with racing full time and is now studying in Bristol. She’s passionate about using bikes as a sustainable method of transport and of the health benefits of whizzing through the woods on a bike.

When I’m not riding bikes:

I’m designing buildings.

A tune for the trail:

I once played Ariana Grande on repeat for three hours as we rode out of the Chilcotins in the pitch black… it was to scare off the bears 🙂

Biggest personal achievement:

I can ride a bike with Euro brakes (front brake on the left), I’ve been told this basically makes me immortal.

You wouldn’t know this about me:

…and if I told you… I’d have to kill you!

Favourite country to ride in:

Nowhere really beats Wales on a summer’s day with a good group! But Italy has amazing ridge lines, Gelato and Aperol…
