Bike Hire - Pedal Progression

Book Bike Hire

Mountain biking is awesome! If you don’t already know how fun it is, hire a bike from us and see for yourself. If you already know or want to share the experience, then we’ve got you covered with our high quality rental fleet of Whyte, and Isla Bikes. Browse our bikes below, select what you need and we’ll make sure they’re reserved for your visit. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak online booking is essential, we can be busy so book early to avoid disappointment. To manage social distancing we may need to call you to slightly adjust your arrival time.

Make sure you scroll down below the booking wizard to view further important information. Rental reservations can be made up to an hour in advance online. If you need a rental sooner, please call us on 0117 973 1298. Using a Gift Voucher? you will need to call us to book. Sorry, at present our online booking can not accommodate these payment types. Rest assured we are working on this. Please make sure to read our full terms and conditions before you book your rental.

If you’re having problems viewing our booking wizard on your smartphone then try using it here.

  1. Book your bike online. If you have a gift voucher please call us.
  2. The lead rider (the person who is making the booking) must bring a form of photo ID. We will take a digital copy of this and delete when the bike/s are returned.
  3. On arrival you will need to access our queueing system via the rear of the building. Please do this by going round the back of the cafe.
  4. Hire helmets are subject to availability. We have a way to sanitise our helmets, however we strongly advise you to bring your own if you have one.
  5. We have a fully risk assessed process in place. We ask for you to be considerate to Pedal Progression staff and any other staff members whilst using our service.
  6. All bookings should made in line with current government guidelines and restrictions with regards to meeting others outside of your household.
  7. When you book and accept our T&Cs you are agreeing for yourself and your group to abide by our process, government guidelines and to ride well within your limits.

  • Please bring a form of photographic ID – only a driving licence or passport is acceptable.
  • You’ll need to pay online at the time of booking.
  • Your payment is your signature which says you agree to our terms & conditions. This gives you responsibility of the bikes and equipment.
  • You can read our hire terms here.

In order to run an efficient service we take full payment which is non refundable with less than 10 days notice. We are also unable to offer refunds or credit for bikes returned early. Please see our full terms for more details. At busy times you may have to wait in a queue to collect your bike. We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your session is due to start and will always endeavour to allow you your full time on the bike unless you are late arriving and the bike you have booked is needed for following customers who have paid. If booking by phone you’ll be asked when you’d like the hire to start and how long for. You’ll also be asked for the heights of those hiring bikes. Please have this information ready when you pick up the phone. We have helmets available for men and women, subject to availability. All bike rentals include free helmet hire subject to availability. If you have your own helmet, we strongly recommend you bring it.

We have a loyalty card scheme, similar to ones you get in coffee shops! Please ask us for a card next time you’re in store. If you have a fully stamped card and wish to redeem your free hire, simply fill out all fields as asked on our online booking system, except for your payment details. This will create a provisional booking on our system. Call us on 0117 973 1298 and explain that you have a fully stamped loyalty card to redeem. We’ll do the rest. You MUST bring the loyalty card with you in order to claim your free hire.

Pedal Progression is surrounded by the Nova mountain bike trail at Ashton Court, but there are other equally fun and challenging trails nearby. The local trails are graded blue for beginners and red for intermediate ability. The video below will give you a good idea of what’s available!
