Who We Are & What We Do

We are a small but fast growing and ambitious company, who love all things mountain biking. Our core business activities are to provide the highest quality mountain bike hire and skills coaching. We also have a retail area in the shop where we sell parts, accessories and energy products. We can also special order bikes from Whyte and Marin, and parts and accessories from hundreds of manufacturers through our extensive range of suppliers.

Our hire centre is based at Ashton Court in Bristol.  Over the last 6 years  we have received over 390 5 star Trip Advisor reviews, ranking us as the number two ‘Outdoor Activity’ in Bristol. We are proud of this and are committed to ensuring we hire a team who can continue to deliver this standard of service and share in this pride with us.

You may have also just heard that we are opening Bath Bike Park in 2022. This will create some exciting opportunities for the right people to grow with us and help to make the project a real success.

Shop Manager – Ashton Court, Bristol

This is an exciting opportunity to head up our mountain bike hire, shop and coaching centre at Ashton Court. You will become a key member of our growing team at an exciting time in the business. You’ll come to work in one of the most stunning locations in Bristol and work for a company that is driven by promoting community and inclusivity in our sport.

The shop/ hire centre manager will, lead, motivate and develop a team of staff to deliver outstanding customer service whilst ensuring the smooth running of centre operations to create a high-quality customer experience across all products and services we offer. As the head of the location you will be an ambassador for the values of the business, a face and a name that our customers can get to know, trust and rely on.

Trainee Mountain Bike Skills Coach – Ashton Court, Bristol

These kind of opportunities don’t come along every day! Pedal Progression was founded as a skills coaching company and we’ve spent the last 10 years honing our methods to be where we are today. As a trainee coach, you’ll be put through in house ‘classroom’ and practical training sessions to get you up to speed with our coaching theories and teaching methods. Work shadowing on Bespoke Skills Sessions will follow, leading to you taking sessions on your own.

Although we are based in Ashton Court, Bristol, there will be opportunities for the right person to coach under licence at other riding locations throughout the South West.

The job will initially be 3 days per week, leading to more days in our busier months. Please find the job description and person spec here.

Cafe Manager – Bath Bike Park

Our Summer pop up cafe in Bath was a huge success and achieved it’s goal in helping Pedal Progression owners Matt and Ollie meet local residents and answer their questions about the project. We are now looking to recruit a cafe manager, to grow the cafe offering and make it profitable through the Winter months and into next year, when the mountain bike trails will be built and Bath Bike Park opens fully. This is an amazing opportunity to be front and centre in a really exciting project, whilst establishing yourself as a key member of our team for the long term! If you love bikes, love coffee and are driven with some entrepreneurial skills, we’d love to hear from you.
