Ollie Kidner

Mountain Bike Instructor

WHO IS OLLIE KIDNER?

Ollie is a young and enthusiastic rider with a product design background. He moved to Bristol to pursue a career in the mountain bike world and fulfil his dream of riding bike as a job! He studied Sustainable Product Design at Falmouth University where he learnt that the best way to improve something is to first understand how it works – this philosophy applies to the products we use in our day-to-day lives, the bikes we ride and the way we ride our bikes. Ollie’s enthusiasm for riding and passion to pass on his knowledge, experience and skill is infectious. If he’s not riding his bike he’s either hunting down rare trainers or working on his collection of bonsai trees.

Ollie K is an Instructor at Pedal Progression.

UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH OLLIE

Riding Highlights:

Designing and building my own hardtail at The Bicycle Academy and racing it to second place at Falmouth Universities’ Urban Downhill, riding through ankle deep ruts in the depths of British winter and scaring myself silly riding the steepest, rockiest trails of my life in Malaga.

A tune that gets me pumped to ride:

Judas Priest – Painkiller!

A hidden skill:

My cardboard box game technique is second to none!

High up my riding to do list:

Design and build another bike, this time a full suspension frame.

If I could ride one place for the rest of my life:

Puddletown forest in Dorset – a good mixture of natural, roots, rocks and loam!
