Looking to get into mountain biking? This course is the perfect starting point for you.

Mountain biking is a fantastic sport and there’s no better time to start than now! We’re passionate riders at Pedal Progression and it’s our mission to share that passion with others. We’ve not forgotten the excitement of riding trails for the first time, but we’re well aware it can be nerve-racking as a newcomer. Our Intro To MTB (Mountain Bike) sessions will help inform and inspire confidence in beginners in a fun and relaxed way. You’ll get a real taste of the fun and thrills of this awesome sport!

The aim of the session is to get you feeling confident on a mountain bike and excited for your next ride. We’ll answer any questions you may have and give you a greater understanding of how things work. We’ll cut through the jargon and keep it simple while explaining the basics of bike types and setup, trail grading and features, techniques and more.

Don’t have a mountain bike? No worries. You can use one of our hire bikes which are included in the price.

This is a 1 hour 30 minute ride around the Nova Trail at Ashton Court. You’ll be led in a small group by one of our qualified instructors, stopping along the way for chats and demonstrations. The Nova Trail is a blue graded (beginner to intermediate) mountain bike trail and is the perfect place to discover what mountain biking is all about!

This is a public group session and has 3 places available.

Intro to Mountain Biking costs £30 per person with bike hire included.
