Over the years, one of our most frequently asked questions has been “do you hire kids seats?” Well, now we do… And they are awesome!

Classic ‘over the rear wheel’ seats, or cycle trailers don’t always lend themselves well to mountain bike trails and so we never felt comfortable offering them. In theory, we loved the idea of young’uns getting out on the trails before they could even ride a bike but we needed to find a more suitable solution. The ‘Kids Ride Shotgun MTB Seat’ is the answer we’ve been looking for.

There’s a good chance you’ve seen riders buzzing about with their kids sat on these already. They’ve been around for a couple of years but we’ve only just been able to source supply. The design is simple but secure and is positioned to keep a low centre of gravity that makes riding with your child much more stable than other options. There are various packages available. We have the top end ‘Seat and Handlebars Combo’, which as it sounds, offers a mini set of handlebars with the seat, further adding to the experience for your little one.

We’re offering the hire of these seats to be fitted to either our hire bikes prior to collection, or to your own bike should you prefer. As far as we’re aware, this is a unique offering in the UK and will give you a ‘try before you buy’ opportunity.
